IISS NOBUKAZU TERANISHI PIONEERING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

The IISS Pioneering Achievement Award was established in 2015 by the Board of Directors of the IISS.

In recognition of Prof. Nobukazu Teranishi’s pioneering achievements and contribution to the image sensor technology, this award was officially renamed in 2025 to “The IISS Nobukazu Teranishi Pioneering Achievement Award” and will take effect from 2027 recipients onwards.

This award is to recognize a person who made a pioneering achievement in image sensor technology and judged by at least 10 years of hindsight as a foundational contribution.
