WORKSHOP PAPER
Towards a High-Speed Photon-Counting CMOS Quanta Image Sensor (QIS)
Abstract
We report progress towards a CMOS QIS capable of counting single photoelectrons at high speed without avalanche. Jot-parallel readout circuitry makes it possible to record the arrival time of photons. The sensor can operate at up to 33 Mcounts/s/jot with low dead time. Keywords
